Exams

Due to demand for more flexible exam schedules, ISSPCS has adopted an approach that lets you select a suitable time and location for your exam, as well as a supervisor to monitor your exam. Supervisors can be either ISSPCS personnel or you can nominate your own supervisor. This approach is useful for candidates with limited time availability or working in regional areas who cannot attend scheduled exams.

ISSPCS can also schedule larger exams on request and applicants with special needs must contact their local exam coordinator as soon as possible.

The Practitioner exam is a 4 hour closed book exam containing multiple choice questions. Questions are based on all areas of the ISSPCS Subject Matrix.

Questions are weighted according to their difficulty (i.e. the effort required to select the correct answer) and the exam pass mark us 60% of the available marks. Applicants who do not pass will receive feedback on the ISSPCS Subject Matrix Areas requiring improvement. Applicants who pass do not receive a breakdown of their performance or grade.

All exam candidates must follow the ISSPCS Exam Rules.

You can also apply for certification via our Grandfathering scheme.
